Miso soup is one of the soup ideal through the pregnancy. Miso is fermented soybean which is high in protein and fibre. Miso also contains omega-3 fatty acids which essential for early neurological and vision development.

Directions

1Place the stock in a large saucepan and bring it to the boil.

2Turn the heat to low then add the wakame and simmer for 5 mins.

3Stir in mirine, the white and dark miso.

4Once is fully dissolved add the spring onion and tofu, then gently heat through and serve.

Ingredients

500ml fish stock

1 tbsp white miso

1 tbsp dark miso

1 tbsp mirin

3 spring onions, sliced

200g silken tofu, cubed

wakame seaweed
